While growing up in Toronto, Martin was keen on exploring his creativity through different mediums. His teenaged years were focused on producing graphics, photography, illustration, and sculptures. He would eventually pursue his bachelors in Industrial Design at OCAD University, where he was able to apply his multi-disciplinary perspective to design.
Martin is fascinated by simple solutions and playful material details. In the studio, he enjoys a hands-on approach to design. He considers his most creative moments to be in the midst of sketching, making, and working through problems with others. To him, great design is the result of curiosity and rigor. It is a playful, iterative process to find the soul of a product.
