    Cool product with bad packaging

So cute on my wall! The sticky stuff is VERY sticky, so get the placement right the first time. If you try to remove it, the sticky-ness pulls apart and leaves the sticky side on the wall. This was a problem with the ones that were stuck to the packaging for display, so I didn't end up being able to use those 4. I could've pulled them off and attached some other kind of sticky stuff, but that defeats the purpose of being self-stick. So bad packaging renders 4 of them useless, but otherwise these are very cool.Note: The photo I posted shows these along with a set of copper butterflies by Umbra. This product is just the black and white ones.

I do like them, but had to buy better adhesive to get them to stay on the wall.

Nice quality, particularly at this price point

I finally came up with a creative gift idea for my sister and BIL who have a condo in one of those cities where land space is limited and homes are built up rather than out. They have an interesting multilevel floor plan, and I wanted to help her decorate the staircase that leads up and out of the main open-planned floor. I'm particularly proud of this plan because we have a pretty stringent capitation on the budget for gift exchange these days, and I tend to stress that I haven't found anything nice enough while staying within the confines of our rule. The inspiration for my idea came from this repositionable wall decal, Nursery Easy Apply Wall Sticker Decorations - Kittens Can See Color Too (Butterflies), that shows a kitten staring up at a spray of butterflies that are flying away from him and closer to the vantage point of the viewer. We are all cat people in our family, and even my brother-in-law (formerly a die hard dog person) has been converted to the point that they have 2 feline fur kids, a cream point Himalayan and a black Exotic Short Hair. Also, my sister has always adored butterfly images, and we both fondly remember our visit to the opening of Butterflies in Flight at the Audubon Nature Institute in New Orleans many years ago.My idea, though inspired by the wall decal, adds more kittens, seemingly tumbling and jumping for the butterflies, and the extra dimension provided by these 3D butterflies. I won't share all of the details here, but I hope you get the idea.I searched and searched for components that would comprise the ultimate kittens and butterflies scene, and was delighted to find several styles of acrylic and acetate butterflies by Umbra. Though I thought this set was the most beautiful and added more texture, I was a little concerned that the intricacy of the wings, which appears almost lacy, would lend to poor durability. My concerns were unfounded. The wings are not flimsy. They are made of clear acetate with the Chrysalis printed in color onto it. Though lacy in appearance, there is no actual texture (and no cut-outs) to the wings at all. They are so absolutely transparent in the areas lacking print that they do trick the eye.I cannot yet comment on the application of these to the walls, but I did open the package and handle the butterflies just to make sure that they seemed durable enough for the planned application. I am very pleased with the quality of these, particularly at this price point (currently they cost a buc
