I bought these for my bedroom and I really like them because they allow you to hang a sheer on the back rod and solid panels in the front. I've hung a lined curtain on the front rod which keeps the room really dark at night and on weekday mornings when I need that extra hour of sleep despite the sun rising. The sheers are great for those weekend mornings when you want to enjoy the sun, but still have a little privacy... breakfast in bed in pajamas with the paper anyone? The only small con I found while installing is that the rods were a little unstable and wiggly when I extended them to the full width they are advertised for. I found they felt way more solid when not extended quite as wide. Just something to think about when you are measuring the window and deciding if these are right for you.
