star rating  Impressive!
by Emmet M. (Monaghan, IRELAND), 2009-06-02 08:19:02.0
I have 3 of these and the books look great on the wall. The only slight problem I have is that you can't put too many books on them (6-8 max) because it will sag and ruin the effect.

star rating  Talk about impact!
by K. (Vancouver, CANADA), 2009-05-28 22:51:07.0
These shelves look fantastic and install easily. I have 6 mounted above my kitchen cupboards to hold my cookbook collection and they appear to float in the air thanks to the innovative bottom shelf that invisibly clips the bottom book in 2 places. As a champion of simple solutions, these shelves are positively the most elegant answer for readers with more books than room for shelves; mine garner nothing short of amazement from visitors to my apartment. I have at least 1/2 a dozen acquaintances that have purchased these shelves after seeing mine! I'm now an Umbra fan for life!

star rating  Very original design
by Bruce G. (Vancouver, CANADA), 2009-05-08 19:26:03.0
I love the look of books as mush as I love to read them. These shelves let me keep small stack of reference books near my work stations, the kitchen, etc and on on the wall by my bed for my ongoing bedtime stories, So simple is the design yet so innovative. Never have seen anything like them, Have seem Umbra products literally all over the work.

star rating  Use your books as the shelf -- how about a freestanding version?
by K W. (Toronto, CANADA), 2009-05-07 17:31:34.0
This looks cool and is very original. My suggestion: same concept, but a freestanding bookshelf that sits on the floor but is very tall. It would look great to stack larger books on the bottom and gradually put on smaller books as you go up. You could also add your stereo speakers for seamless and easy built-in audio!

star rating  Not just brilliant, practical and sturdy, too!
by Catherine Dyan U. (Richmond, CANADA), 2009-05-07 16:16:27.0
I installed three of these shelves (in both sizes) in my bedroom, and I love them! Besides the "cool" factor of having piles of books seemingly float on my walls, I find the shelves very sturdy and practical, too - books are pretty easy to pick off the shelf, and you could even be creative and add little figurines or vases on top of them if you want to keep the shelves for show! (The large shelf is able to hold several heavy books without showing signs of bending.) Even if it's been several months since I bought these shelves, I still can't stop smiling at the ingenuity behind the product. :) Lovely piece of working art.

star rating  Functional & Cool
by Maria B. (Lisboa, PORTUGAL), 2009-05-07 13:40:30.0
We came across the "Conceal" book shelf in a shop in Oslo. It was my boyfriend who said << We have to have this, this is sooooo cool >>. To be honest, I didn't quite grasp the idea at first, and when he wanted to buy 5 of them I was very reluctant, but I thought, OK, if I don't like them, I will insist he brings them to his work. Well, needless to say...he never had to. They are hanging randomly on a quite narrow wall in our flat, and it looks very cool. Our friends coming over have all commented on this brilliant idea, and wanted to know where we bought them... Now everybody wants floating book shelfs on their wall!
