2001: Casual and transportable storage solution.

Thinking about product in new and fresh ways has always been Umbra's mantra. Free standing storage containers have always been made of rigid materials. Making these containers casual and transportable was Umbra's goal in coming up with CRUNCH storage containers. Cotton fabric alone doesn't have the rigidity to stand up as a container so we laminated water proof material to the cotton backing. The charm of the CRUNCH is in the natural creases and folds that are created when the product is "crunched down". The end result is a unique product where each bag is uniquely textured with its own original style.
