We want to fill our frames around the world with your photos and artwork. Whether it's your favourite place, family member, old sketch or painting we love seeing what matters to you and want to share it with the world. Submission categories include:

Before You Enter

Photos/artwork that violate or infringe upon another person’s rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible. Only selected entries with signed image release forms will appear in Umbra frames and other assets, and are eligible to win $100 per photo/artwork to shop at Umbra.com (gift code, in local currency). Umbra will not use any photo submissions without a signed image release form from the entrant. No purchase necessary to enter the contest.

Eligibility

Open to adults, 18+ in the United States, Canada (excluding residents of Quebec), United Kingdom, and Europe.

Program Period

Starts May 2, 2016 and ends May 29, 2016.

Photo Selection Process & Compensation for Images:

Entrants whose works are chosen will receive $100 per photo/artwork selected, via “gift code” valid exclusively at Umbra.com. Entrants will be contacted to sign an image release form after selection period, or no later than July 31, 2016, and compensation will be given only after the image release form is signed by the entrant and sent back to Umbra before two weeks from when the release form was sent to the entrant. If the entrant fails to submit a signed release form within this period, Umbra has the right to rescind its decision to select the photo/artwork. Umbra has the right to disqualify any entry it deems threatening and/or harmful to its employees without notifying the entrant. The $100 Umbra gift code (in local currency) can be used to purchase anything on Umbra.com and expires August 1, 2017 or when amount is depleted. Not valid on shipping and taxes. Not transferable to other gift codes and other legal tenders. Non-winning photo/artwork entries will be kept on file for possible future use with payment of $100 after signing the image release form.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Umbra will not publicly share, use, rent (or lease) personal information, including name, address, phone number and email address, of entrants, except when contacting the entrant privately regarding their photo/artwork submission and/or giving compensation. Umbra will not subscribe entrants’ email addresses in any database(s) or list(s) that the company, our partners and affiliates, are maintaining for marketing purposes.

Assignment of Rights and Limitation of Liabilities

By submitting a photo/artwork, entrants warrant and represent that they own all rights to the image(s), have required any model releases and permissions (including consent for private properties, children and minors captured in images), to grant Umbra and its affiliated companies a perpetual, royalty-free, world-wide, non-exclusive license to use, display, modify, reproduce, publish, distribute, make derivative works of, sublicense, and otherwise commercially and non-commercially exploit the photo/artwork, and all copyright therein, in any manner or medium now existing or hereafter developed. Winning entrants are required to sign a release form containing the above uses and conditions. Umbra and its affiliates will not be required to pay any additional consideration to or seek any additional approval of the winning entrants in connection with such uses. Entrants will indemnify and hold Umbra and its affiliates harmless from and against any and all loss, damage, costs and other expenses arising out of claims, whatever nature, resulting directly or indirectly from breach of warranty described above. Umbra is not responsible for any risk(s) and/or damage(s) incurred in the creation of the entry material(s), including any and all technologies used in the creation, and/or submission, of entry material(s). The SHARE YOUR WORLD WITH THE WORLD CONTEST is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest.
