Alan has always had an interest in art and design. Growing up, he wanted to become an architect, before one of his high school teachers turned him onto industrial design. He went on to graduate from the Industrial Design program at Humber College, where he stumbled across Umbra after discovering the Bungee wallet. Alan is inspired by his everyday surroundings and favours designs that blend clean lines and function. He takes pride in each product he designs, and feels the city of Toronto is the perfect forum for fresh and exciting ideas.

The combination of the materials make this clock amazing. Illuminated by a natural light the shadow of the iron clock doesn't affect nothing. In a closed room, the shadow can be a huge problem to see the hour. It´s will depend of the lights position.

Some people could like of this or not, but is a peculiar clock. The manner to see the time is different. Remember, the shadow of the cage on the wood could be a huge problem. And this is a large clock, and a little heavy too. Read more
