When it comes to design, we know that to earn a place in your home it’s not enough to just be good looking. Great products make life better in some way, and this year we are more serious than ever about making everyday chores easier.
Product designer, David Green, set his sights on new approaches to dish drying after watching people stack piles of dishes on top of a soaking wet dishcloths.
Introducing UDRY, a dish rack and absorbent drying mat in one allowing you to stack and organize your dishes, glasses, and cutlery while drying at the same time. And it’s just as simple to tuck away into a small drawer or cupboard as that old tea towel.
Did we mention it’s easy to clean? The mat and rack separate for easy cleaning. The rack can go in the dish washer (if one exists) and the mat goes right in the washing machine.
When not in use, UDRY folds up to about the width of a book. When unfolded, it holds a surprisingly large number of dishes. An incredibly useful product for those living in compact spaces, or for people who don’t like clutter.
An extra small version of UDRY takes up even less counter space making it ideal for use in kitchens with limited counter space or alternative spaces such as RVs, boats and more. This kitchen is from a 1970s Airstream. Talk about stylish compact living! Where will you take your UDRY?
