Adding a little greenery to your home can really freshen up your space, but not everyone has a green thumb to maintain a living display (including us). This is why we love Air Plants (or Tillandsia as they are officially known). These architectural little plants can be used to curate all kinds interesting creations and they are pretty simple to maintain - no planting necessary.
We created an Air Plant display using PRISMA decor at the Umbra Store. If you are looking for an easy way to design your own decor this project is for you.
1. PRISMA Wall Decor in your favourite finish. We used PRISMA Decor Brass and Copper for our display because we love the look of the warm metals together. PRISMA Black would also be a great look. Each package comes with all the materials to create 3 Air Plant displays.
2. Clear wire (included in PRISMA package)
3. Your preferred style of Air Plant (or Tillandsia)
Assemble PRISMA using 4 of the C-shape clips that come with the product. Hold 2 shapes together and clip into place.
Wire includes loops at both ends of the string. Loop wire around PRISMA at the point you want it to hang from and create a slipknot by inserting one loop into the other.
Insert Air Plant in base of decor. The plant will stay in place without securing to PRISMA.
Hang your new Air Plant piece anyway you like. We think they look great in multiples.
While Air Plants are easy don't forget to give them a little water. Lean how to care for Air Plants.
