JOSHUA DAVIS is a New York
based artist and designer who
pioneered an original methodology
of computational, generative art
known as Dynamic Abstraction.
Davis processes hand-produced
illustrations through computer algorithms to create
his compositions. Through this randomized chaos,
Davis continually seeks to find what he calls the beautiful
accident: a coherent, human synthesis of the organic
and technologic.
He has exhibited at both innovative, new-media
galleries such as Maxalot and Espies and at major
institutions like the Tate Modern, MoMA PS1,
and the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt.
